Overview[edit | edit source]
Living as a miserable adult with only your landlady as your source of human contact, you suddenly receive a text from a hidden number who berates you for your laziness and self-destructiveness before offering something "life-changing" in exchange for your name. After giving it to the number, they ghost you, causing you to go to sleep out of frustration.
You awake to your alarm clock going off for the first time in years. After silencing it, you head to the bathroom to relieve yourself. While washing your hands, you see your reflection and notice how significantly younger you look. Jo calls out from downstairs, telling you to not be late on your first day of your last year in high school. Returning to your room and seeing everything clearly, you come to the conclusion that you must have traveled back in time. Taking this chance to try and right some wrongs, you dress nicely and avoid being late.
Jo gives you a kiss bye as she heads off to work early. By the time she does, Flora comes downstairs demanding breakfast. She grabs some of your cereal to eat before forcing a questionnaire for her internship upon you. Your answers will change various stat levels of both yourself and the romanceable women in the story. After that, you return to Newfall High School for the first time in years.
When you arrive to school, the mysterious texter contacts you again, warning you about how every choice matters in some form and to follow your heart. Entering homeroom, you're utterly shocked to see the cardigan-sporting Mrs. Lichtenstein now rocking a tight dress that reveals her curves and cleavage, as well as some pierced nipples poking through. She explains that Newfall High is testing a new system that gives the students more freedom and responsibility with their schedules. She also introduces the class to the new student, Isabelle, who was not present in your original timeline. You and Isabelle then go off to sign up for your 3 focus classes, thus starting Tour de School.
Before you meet Isabelle upstairs, you grab your locker key from the Guard, who will only give it to you once you receive a permission slip from Mrs. L. After attempting to go upstairs, you'll spot Lindsey trip and fall on a wet floor sign, something very out-of-character for the track star. After either offering a helping hand or enjoying the view, you head upstairs to catch up with Isabelle for your tour.
