Overview

A deep dive into the unknown.

After feeling relieved about being outside in the open fall air, you come across Maxine next to a giant crate. She asks for your assistance in opening it, and upon doing so, it's revealed to be a diving bell inside. Maxine explains that she found a map in the school basement that shows a hidden treasure at the bottom of the pond. She volunteers your assistance in the exploration, but first demands you to find weapons and armor. Unsure yet scared of why you'd need such things for the bottom of the pond, you decide to listen to her, anyway.

Grab the Fire Axe and Machete for your weapons and the lid of the Cooking Pot as your shield. As for the armor, you call your favorite pizza joint, "Master Splinter's Pizza". When the pizzas arrive an hour later, you scarf them down and pass out. After assembling the leftover Cardboard into Armor with Duct Tape from the English Classroom and putting it on, you meet back up with Maxine at the Park, who is decked in a true suit of armor and ready to begin the dive.

As you descend into the deceivably deep pond, you feel your nerves tense up while Maxine enjoys the ride down. Suddenly, the bell stops moving. The line is too short, and you ascend back to the surface. Maxine tells you to find more line. You ask Maya for some yarn to use, and after some banter, she agrees to leave you a ball of it in Homeroom in exchange for some goat milk. You get it to her one way or another and return to the Park. With the extra line equipped and weapons in hand, you and Maxine take a second plunge into the water.

This time, you reach the bottom and enter a hidden cave that the map points to. You briefly talk with Maxine and then explore the treasures and artifacts nearby. Once done, you try to open the door in the center of the cave, but Maxine is unsure how to get it open nor does she know what the runes surrounding it say. Finally, there's a Locked Box similar to the one you found in Buried Truths or Hooking Up at Maxine's feet. This was the treasure that the map was showing Maxine, but before it can be nabbed, a large, monstrous worm emerges from the ground and attacks the both of you! You're terrified at first, but the determination on Maxine's face gives you the confidence to fight alongside her.

Finally, the worm is taken down, leaving the both of you bloody and exhausted. She goes uncharacteristically silent when you tell her that you were worried about her. If she has 12 Lust points, you can kiss her, let the adrenaline flow through both of you, and have raw, carnal sex in the cave. Either choice leads to you ascending back up to the surface. You're tired after that adventure, but secretly can't wait for the next one.

Story Changing Choices

• If you buy a goat on the dark web for $666, it will stay in your Kitchen for the foreseeable future.
• You have the choice to give Maxine the Locked Box you found in the cave.
  • Her stats won't change if you keep it for yourself, but she will gain 1 Love point if you give it to her.

Missable Items

• If you give Maxine the Locked Box at the end of the quest, it will be removed from your inventory.

Missable Interactions

• If you already have the Fire Axe and Machete in your backpack by the time Maxine sends you to get supplies, you'll comment that you're a kleptomaniac.
• If you try to get milk for Maya from the cafeteria, the Guard will catch you, forcing you to try a different place to get it.
• If you buy a goat on the dark web, Jo will ask why it's there, and your answer can raise or lower her stats.

Achievements

• If you buy a goat on the dark web to get the milk for Maya, you'll earn "The Actual Goat" achievement.
