Maxine is the eccentric editor of the school newspaper. She has her head in the clouds and seems to operate on another plane of existence than everyone else, having a lot of weird ideals and principles. She's aloof and hard to deal with, often disinterested or has her mind elsewhere, most likely on whatever current conspiracy she believes to be plaguing the school.

Appearance

Maxine wears a pink knitted hat on top of her short black hair, a few long strands of which reaching down past her shoulders. Her amber eyes lie partially hidden behind a pair of round-lens glasses, and she dons pink eyeshadow and lipstick. While it may not be immediately obvious based on her attire, she has a very feminine figure, complete with a full hourglass shape.

In Season 1, Maxine wears a white shirt covered by a warm brown blouse with black bra straps peeking through on her shoulders. Her bottom half consists of ripped black short shorts and a pair of black sandals. In Season 2, her outfit is more cozy, consisting of a gray turtleneck sweater, long black skirt, and black buckle-up shoes covering gray socks. In both outfits, she wears a necklace with a key at the end of it and a silver ring on her right ring finger.

Personality

Anyone who's ever interacted with Maxine can tell you that she's a weird one. She believes in all sorts of creatures that you've never heard of (and most likely the ones you have, as well), and the more you argue with her, the crazier you will feel. She's very technophobic, stating "If it's not analog, it can't be trusted!", though she'll use some forms of technology if she's certain it won't turn against her and/or go online.

Despite her crazy ramblings and theories, there is a brain under that cap, as she's able to maneuver in such a way that she has eyes on everything and everyone in the school, and possibly all of Newfall, at all times. Her morality is also questionable, if it even exists, siding with whatever she deems to best suit her ultimate goal of obtaining and exposing the truth, whether it be reporting on a ghost pig in the school halls or a masked flasher exposing herself to the students. Her only true companion seems to be her faithful feline, Spinach, but knowing Maxine, she'd rather keep it that way.
