Overview

Some things are just stranger than fiction.

You ponder over your adventure in the pond with Maxine, unsure if everything actually happened. To try and get a clear perspective, you approach Jo and explain the situation. She doesn't believe you, to which you offer to show her the diving bell in the Park. To your shock and horror, though, it's disappeared, as if it was never there! After she returns home to rest off her oncoming headache, you confront Maxine about what's going on. She assures you that the dive truly did happen, but is hesitant to discuss the door, even uncharacteristically raising her voice. After making it clear she doesn't wish to discuss the situation further, she excuses herself to the science classroom to prepare for the impending "Juice Apocalypse".

Feeling confused and thirsty, you head to the Cafeteria for some strawberry juice. As you try to get a drink, though, Maya approaches and warns you that the janitor pulled a spider out the machine earlier. Before you can properly express your disgust, an explosion bellows from upstairs! You run out to investigate and spot caution tape over the Science Classroom door. As both Jo and Jacklyn rush over to assess the situation, Maxine's voice can be heard inside the room. She cautions against entering, claiming it to be unsafe. Jacklyn insists to Jo that she'll take care of it and enters.

After convincing Maxine to let you in by wearing the Cowboy Hat and pretending to be a Texas State Ranger, you find the entire room coated in a thick green gas and a large crater in the floor. Even stranger, Maxine is completely and inexplicably naked. Quickly, though, both you and Jacklyn's clothes disappear as well, with Maxine explaining that it's due to the gas from her failed experiment. She insists that the three of you must remain locked in the room until the gas completely dissipates or else everyone in school will also end up naked. With Jacklyn pointing out that Maxine is the only person who cares less about being naked than her and with Maxine pointing out how embarrassment is a waste of time, you decide to see if you can find a way to get under her skin.

No matter which plan you enact, Maxine will be left overall unphased, obsessing about why her antidote exploded. When enough gas has cleared, she leaves the room, with Jacklyn close behind. As you try to make your escape, Jo suddenly enters, horrified at everything she's seeing. Just as she's about to blame you for the crater and the nudity, her clothes suddenly disappear, as well! The quest ends with you either leaving her to fend for herself or helping her get some spare clothes.

If you weren't there, you wouldn't believe it.

Missable Interactions

• When Jo asks for you to clarify what you mean by the pond's "history":
  • Saying that there's a "giant fucking worm living in its depths" will subtract 1 Love point from her as she scolds your language before you retort that she never takes you seriously.
  • Saying that it's a "terrifying and unnatural place" will give her 1 Love point as she assures you that she'll always be there for you and that you can trust her with anything.
  • Saying that you two should visit it together will give her 1 Lust point as she reminisces about "old times".

• If you held onto the box at the end of The Dive, Maxine will bargain for you to give it to her in exchange for what she knows about the rune door, to which you decline and hold onto it. Otherwise, she'll explain that she hasn't found a way to open it.

• After Maxine insists that she doesn't want to talk about the glowing rune door:
  • If you had sex with her at the end of The Dive, you ask if you can at least talk about that, giving each of you 1 Lust point, her claiming you've proven yourself "quite adept in the coitus department".
    • If you pulled out during the sex, she'll bring up the upcoming crab rock infestation that will come as a result.
  • Asking if she's okay will have her be uncharacteristically nervous, but will gain 1 Love point as she admits that your friendship is growing "quite adequately".
  • Telling her that you'll blow it up will have her snap at you to not return below the surface, subtracting 1 Love point as she does.

• If you try to convince Maxine that you're a member of the CDC, she'll instantly doubt you since you apparently don't know what it stands for.

• When Jacklyn asks what you have in mind to try and embarrass Maxine:
  • If she has 20 Lust points, you can suggest that you two fuck. She agrees, and as you slowly escalate from fondling to fucking, you catch Maxine staring at the scene with awe and curiosity at your libidos.
  • Suggesting she make out with her will have her call you out on you just trying to enjoy the situation, but ultimately agrees that it could work. She tricks Maxine under the ruse of an oral examination and you're left to enjoy the show.
  • If Maxine has 15 Lust points, you tell Jacklyn to simply watch you, giving you 1 Charisma point.
    • Verbally embarrassing Maxine will have you tease her about her work being heavily critiqued before suggesting she stop experiments altogether. She'll lose 2 Lust points as she insists that she must continue.
    • Physically embarrassing Maxine will have you grope her tits and pinch her nipples to no effect.
    • Either option leads to you fingering her, with her slowly succumbing to the pleasure and gaining 3 Lust points.

• When a naked Jo asks if you're trying to get out of trouble by offering to get her some clothes:
  • Running will have you snap at her for always blaming you for everything before bolting and leaving her defenseless, giving you 1 Lust point and a detention.
    • If you have a girlfriend, you'll mentally thank her for the spare clothes. Otherwise you'll thank Flora.
  • If you have 10 Intellect points, you ask her if she'd rather walk out naked in front of the whole school. She concedes and politely asks for spare clothes in exchange for no detention and never mentioning this situation again.
